Morphology

Ponies have long hair and a short tail and can have various colors such as white, brown, black or whitish brown.

Reproduction

The breeding season is seasonal. It has a gestation period of about 11 months, and 15 to 25 minutes after birth, the calf begins to walk. Weaning occurs after 7 months.

Habitat

It is considered a domesticated animal, but there are also wild ponies that can be found along the French and Spanish coast, in Australia, and in the USA.
