Morphology
The Turkey has a dark brown or black plumage and a caruncle that can vary between white, blue and red.
This species exhibits sexual dimorphism - the male is larger than the female.
Reproduction
It has a 28-day incubation period and lays 10 to 13 eggs.
Diet
This animal feeds on grasses, fruits, seeds, grains, acorns and insects.
In winter, due to the scarcity of food, it feeds on roots and tubers.
Habitat
It can be found in forested areas, areas with bushes or agricultural crops.
